What is Tif'eres Doniel?

We are a Jewish primary and secondary school with over 200 students. Since several decades, we have helped our children to build their fundament for the future. Through a curriculum which combines rigorous Torah education with secular studies we provide our students with a comprehensive education. We spare no expense to ensure that our children benefit from a high standard of education.

Thanks to the efforts of the Eden Foundation, we were able to move into our own school building ten years ago. Our building has its own Beis Medrash, a cantine, a well-equipped gym as well as modern and bright classrooms that allow our children to experience their school life in a pleasant and practical environment.

But we would not be able to accomplish all of this on our own. Our annual budged amounts to 3'000'000 Swiss francs and for more than half of this budget we are dependent on donations. We therefore founded “Gemeinsam für unsere Kinder“ (together for our children).

What is “Gemeinsam für unsere Kinder“?

Thanks to the tireless support of our numerous riders, donors and helpers, our bikeathons in the years 2017-2023 proved a great success. Even though the long routes pushed many riders to their limits, the collegial atmosphere, the breathtaking panoramas as well as the fantastic conditions made the rides an unforgettable experience.

This year’s route route takes us through the picturesque Central Switzerland as well as the Reuss plain. Riders seeking an additional challenge can start the tour by climbing the Bürgenstock, where the additional altitude meters will be rewarded with a scenic view over Lake Lucerne. Be part of this unique experience and sign up as a rider now!

Despite the new route, our concept remains unchanged: Every rider has to sponsor his participation and commit to raise at least 1'000 CHF for our school. With an overall target of 300'000 CHF we hope to be able to make a significant contribution to the existence of our school as in previous years.

Team

Gemeinsam für unsere Kinder was started in 2016 by a small group of people of people who came up with a creative way to support Tif'eres Doniel that would be appealing to the public and fun for the participants. The idea of a Bike Ride Fundraiser began quickly evolved into an event with extremely positive reactions and participation from a wide variety of people. The volunteer organizing team consists of Bezalel Brandeis, Zev Marilus and Yehuda Iczkovits.
